The new Küberit transition profiles make floor covering transitions easier in every respect: With their extra-flat design, they create smooth transitions between floor coverings. This makes them the right choice wherever it is important to design surfaces that are as even as possible and to avoid tripping hazards. The installation technique is designed in such a way that the profiles can also be used for subsequent covering.
Floor coverings are practically never laid continuously throughout the entire building. This creates joints that have to be 'hidden' safely and elegantly. The new transition profile 443 is relatively narrow at 32 mm and conspicuously flat at just 2 mm: Küberit developed it so that no tripping hazards occur and, for example, wheelchairs or material trolleys can drive over it unhindered. This is a clear advantage over the heavily built-up trims. Thanks to the smooth surface, the profile also has an attractive, modern design. Also new, just as flat and almost twice as wide is profile 446 with its cover width of 60 mm. These technical features make the profile type particularly suitable for use under fire doors or for covering wider joints.
Küberit offers flat transition profiles for a variety of installation situations; the standard lengths measure 1.0 m and 3.0 m, the widths range from 25 mm to 80 mm. They are available countersunk drilled or in self-adhesive versions. The installation of the self-adhesive versions is extremely uncomplicated: the profile is cut to the desired length, the cover foil is removed and the profile is simply stuck onto the joint to be covered. For optimum adhesion, the substrate must be free of dust and grease, level, hard, dry and load-bearing.
Küberit offers craftsmen and builders a choice not only of technical but also of optical finishes: the range includes the three classic anodised colours silver, sand and stainless steel look finely polished as well as the two new trend colours silver finely polishedbrushed and platinium brushed. New, elegant looks that match many current floorings.

The very flat design means there are no trip hazards- Alexandre de Barros

The new Küberit profiles for staircase renovations
Küberit has further perfected the idea of step elements and rounded corners with the new renovation profiles and 90° prefabricated angles for rounded stair corners. Stair treads are exposed to high loads every day. Therefore, Küberit pays attention to highest material and manufacturing quality when developing its profiles, thus ensuring a long product life. At the same time, the convenient, time-saving Küberit assembly technology minimises possible processing errors.

When safety comes first: extended leg dimensions and clever assembly technology
Especially for stair treads in the contract segment, safety-relevant aspects and a speedy installation technique play a decisive role. Outside corners are often very sharp-edged due to a normal mitre cut and pose a risk of injury, which can be significantly minimised by using a 90° prefabricated angle. With its new 90° prefabricated angles with rounded corners, Küberit offers complete step elements with the dimensions 30 x 100 cm and 30 x 150 cm in addition to the standard angle of 30 x 30 cm. This allows for even more time-saving processing without any loss of quality while at the same time increasing the safety properties of the profile: The corner elements shorten assembly times as time-consuming mitre cuts on the construction site are no longer necessary. In addition, sharp edges at the joints are avoided, which considerably reduces the risk of injury. The range of 90° prefabricated angles includes seven different types of angle profiles in undrilled design, which can be installed with a suitable adhesive. The result: the professional can lay stair nosings completely without disturbing butt edges. Furthermore, the market leader for profiles and profile systems made of aluminium also realises special dimensions or drilled versions on request. Küberit offers the round corner elements in anodised silver aluminium. The unique process is protected by utility model.
When it should be beautiful: the new noble ones for staircase renovation
Küberit has extended its range of stair nosing profiles with the two new types 815 with 3 mm insertion and 816 with 5 mm insertion for resilient floor coverings and carpets. The small insertion on the top side of the profiles ensures optimum protection of the flooring edge, the fine grooves on the top side of the edge increase slip resistance. Küberit designed the new ones for the renovation of staircases made of block steps, especially wooden stairs. The special feature: The inner lengths of the front-side noses are 25 mm and thus perfectly cover the front edges of wooden stairs. Moreover, their dimensions and technical design match the Küberit repair angles RW 20 and RW S, both of which have a leg length of 20 mm and are completely covered by the longer noses of the stair profiles. The stair nosing profiles 853 and 854 are not only particularly delicate, but also matched to the current flooring collections with very low installation heights of 2.5 mm and 3 mm. Their technical properties are comparable to those of other stair nosing profiles, but they appear much more delicate as they have no insertion. The new stair nosing profiles are suitable for mounting on wood as well as on concrete stairs and also cover the leg lengths of the most common repair angles with their 25 mm long noses. These four new stair nosing solutions in the modern anodised colours silver and stainless steel look complement the extensive stair nosing range and have a length of 5 m or 2.5 m. The new profiles are recessed as standard. As standard, the new profiles are supplied countersunk drilled with fixing material, but can also be mounted with a suitable adhesive.

For a touch of luxury and a plus in hygiene
Renovation of existing buildings - a major topic for which renovation methods are in demand which, on the one hand, enable the realisation of current living trends and, on the other hand, keep the amount of work and building dirt as low as possible. For bathroom renovation, e.g. with HPL laminate panels or for aluminium composite systems, Küberit has now developed a design wall profile assortment that considerably facilitates the installation of the panels and the work on the joints and edges. The result is jointless, easy-care surfaces that improve hygiene and prevent the formation of dirt and mould. Küberit's proven profile technology is continued from the floor to the wall.

Quick and uncomplicated, yet impressively elegant
Craftsmen know: With directly printed or high-pressure pressed wall panels, modern bathroom concepts can be realised with comparatively little effort. The advantages: generally shorter renovation times, a wide choice of décors, often lower costs as well as considerably less annoying building dirt due to the removal of old coverings. The weak point of the system: the dimensioning of the tiles makes it difficult to work cleanly at the joints and edges, the risk of mould formation in damp areas increases and large surfaces tend to look monotonous and dreary.
Therefore, Küberit has developed new design wall profiles especially for this application. The range includes 1- and 2-part profiles for inside and outside corners, connectors and end profiles in different metal colours. For this product series, another anodised colour with a high-gloss look has been added to the range with "Alu gloss anodised". Küberit has adapted the heights of its profiles to the common panel thicknesses and developed versions from 3 mm to 9.5 mm. The 2-part profile systems allow an exact adjustment to the required construction height. With a total of 14 Küberit profiles and three colour options, craftsmen can realise bathroom renovations with a modern look professionally, cleanly, quickly and cost-efficiently.

Tile skirting professionally renovated
Renovations are the dominant part of residential construction with 68 %. Work on existing buildings also predominates in commercial and public building construction.
For this great potential, Küberit has completed its wide range of floor, wall and stair profiles with the new cover strip type 928 for the renovation of tile skirtings. When installing LVT floors, they allow for a plinth that is just as attractive as it is durable and has the same decor.Smart solution
Renovations - whether partial or full - are still the most important factor in interior design. That's why products that ensure clean, safe, fast and low-noise work are particularly in demand. Tile and stone floors, for example, often disappear under modern LVTs. Removing tile bases is possible, but involves a lot of dirt and extensive rework. A smart solution is the new Küberit cover strip made of aluminium in the anodised colours silver and stainless steel look finely polished. It is designed so that LVT coverings up to a thickness of 3.2 mm can be glued to the profile. The small nose on the upper edge of the profile ensures a clean finish and protects the flooring strip from wear and tear. The new cover strip gives builders a great deal of design freedom and offers craftsmen the possibility of a professional, durable implementation.
Covers all common skirtings
Küberit has transferred its proven profile technology from the floor to the cover strips for skirtings. The 51.5 mm high profile can be mounted effortlessly and variably in height by experienced craftsmen: The inner or covering dimension of 8 mm is calculated in such a way that it covers the most common plinths. If the standard dimension of 250 cm is too long, the skirting can be quickly shortened to the required length. After the floor has been laid, it is glued to the existing plinth with a mounting adhesive, whereby it is irrelevant whether the adhesive is applied to the old plinth or to the profile. Then insert the precisely cut LVT strip into the profile with the production edge or a chamfered lower edge; adhesive dots on the profile help to fix the strip. Finally, press the strip down firmly towards the floor. The inner and outer corners, which are also available and made of high-quality and colour-matched plastic, are placed on the strip from above and fixed with adhesive. The 100 mm long end pieces can be cut to the desired height and glued afterwards. The result is an elegant, decor-matched plinth that is optimally protected against impacts by the aluminium profile.

When building in existing buildings, subfloors often need a fundamental renovation before a new floor covering can be laid. With the Floorfixx quick-lay system, Küberit offers the possibility to produce a subfloor that is ready for direct loading and laying. Thanks to its convenient application method, a perfect subfloor with an impact sound improvement of up to 25 db is created in a short time.

Four versions cover most renovation situations
The high-quality renovation system for floating installation is available in four versions: the single-layer variants Floorfixx fini and smart as well as the two-layer systems Floorfix regular and comfort.
Floorfix regular and Floorfixx comfort consist of an HDF core and top board that are reliably bonded by a factory-applied contact adhesive. The XPS foam on the underside of the carrier boards not only significantly insulates footfall sound, but also levels out small unevennesses in the old floor. For levelling unevenness from 3 mm to 60 mm, the loose dry levelling fill CW 1000 is an ecological solution. The material, made of wood chips with a mineral coating, is easy to apply, stable and complies with DIN standard 18560-2.
FOR UNDERFLOOR HEATING AND FOR COMMERCIAL BUILDINGS
Floorfixx regular with its thickness of 9 mm can be laid on all old floor coverings in living areas. Floorfixx comfort is 10 mm thick and is designed to meet the requirements of commercially used rooms and for installation over underfloor heating. The 60 x 120 cm tiles of both systems can be easily cut to size with a conventional cutter knife and are laid flush with the joints. They are laid floating in a ½ bond on the old subfloor. This creates a stable bond that does not need to be filled or primed before laying the new floor covering, regardless of whether it is multi-layer parquet, LVT or sheet flooring. This not only saves costs, but also time during the renovation work.
One-piece versions
The programme is complemented by the two one-piece variants Floorfixx fini (850 mm x 590 mm) with a thickness of 8 mm and 40 mm step seam adhesive joint as well as the equally strong Floorfixx smart (825 mm x 565 mm) with 70 mm step seam adhesive joint for textile floor coverings as well as laminate and parquet. The Floorfixx quick installation systems for floating installation are suitable for the renovation of problematic old subfloors. They are easy to use and create a perfect substrate for laying new floor coverings in a short time. The XPS foam on the underside of the Floorfixx comfort and regular solutions dampens the impact sound and compensates for unevenness of the old floor. The HDF backing and top board are reliably bonded by a factory-applied contact adhesive.

Specified, sustainable and clearly structured
The daily load on floor coverings depends not only on the room in which they are installed, but also on the installation situation. Moreover, each floor covering has specific material properties. A challenge Küberit is able to cope with perfectly. In addition to its profiles for stairs, walls and floors, Küberit has added tailor-made underlay solutions to its product range under the label Parkettfreund. The underlays reliably absorb permanent, dynamic and temporary loads over their entire service life. Only through perfectly matched underlay solutions can floor coverings and, above all, their connection systems be permanently protected.

Through the eyes of the floor layer
Also with this product range extension, Küberit follows its product strategy and focuses on the benefits for the floor layer, such as comfortable handling: „To make sure that the right underlay can be found quickly and reliably, we have listed all installation situations with the corresponding minimum and maximum requirements of the EPLF or mmfa and assigned the corresponding underlay solution to them with information on the product properties“, says Lars Maier, Head of Sales Germany. The module 'Underlay Finder' on the homepage www.parkettfreund.de is also practical. By entering just a few details about the installation situation and the desired properties of the underlay, you end up with a selection of suitable insulation underlays.
The new one: strong insulation with slim 1 millimetre
A special feature is the new underlay Profi Vinyl (PE300). The underlay, which is only 1 mm thick and made of PE foam with a density of 300 kg/m³, is designed for use under LVT floors and is ideally suited for installation with underfloor heating. The underlay reduces impact sound by 18 dB, is lightweight and meets mmfa requirements with a CS value of 200 kPa.
Six in one go
In total, the insulation underlay range comprises six product groups. Taken together, they meet all the requirements for laying floor coverings: from the high-quality ACOUSTIC range for laminate, parquet and vinyl to the PROFI range and the low-cost BASIC range, which is oriented towards the minimum requirements.

The quality of the underlay material has a lasting influence on the longevity and comfort of the floor covering- Michael Wensky
